What makes my art unique?

Maybe you've felt the same way before. You spend a week's holiday at your absolute favourite place. A lightness and happiness spreads through you that seems to carry you through the entire day. For me, this place is Provence. And as you do in wine regions, you naturally go to wineries to taste the locally produced wines. One tastes better than the other! I decide on a rosé, which we open right away in the evening with some macarons at sunset by the pool. Wonderful! I want to take this feeling home with me and pack a few bottles in the car before driving home. But at home, this rosé, which was the best rosé of my life for a week, somehow only tastes like a normal rosé. Isn't that strange? Not at all, because of course a lot of impressions, emotions and feelings are missing that don't fit into a bottle. The atmosphere is missing.
But why am I telling you this story? Well, because I think that the atmosphere, the aura of a painting can only be experienced when you really stand in front of it. Only in direct contact with the painting can you really feel and experience it. You can find lots of photos on my website. I can bring you a bottle of rosé from the south of France, which I'm sure you'll love, but unfortunately I can't send you the feeling. I have experienced so many times how people react when they see my art in real life for the first time. I love this moment, a brief moment of speechlessness to regain one's bearings and grasp the image. And then the strained thinking, usually followed by the question of how my technique works. Unfortunately I can't convey that feeling here, you just have to experience it yourself.
In recent years I have developed my own artistic approach. I use a technique that can best be described as "collage technique", even though I don't see it as a collage myself. I apply different layers of paper and acrylic paint on top of each other to create silhouettes of abstract horses and landscapes.
The paper used is handmade natural paper, which is produced in the Himalayan region. I describe this paper in more detail in this (link) blog post. It is my absolute favourite paper because it is so soft, smooth and textured that it feels like the fabric of a favourite dress. It gives off an incredibly strong and unique aura that you can lose yourself in.
On a canvas, the paper in interaction with the layers unfolds a unique work of art, sometimes more, sometimes less transparent, with small impurities in the paper and the silhouette of the horses . I can show you a part of it in my portfolio, but the spirit, the aura - you have to experience it yourself.

Was macht meine Kunst einzigartig?
Vielleicht ging es dir auch schon einmal so. Du verbringst eine Woche Ferien an deinem absoluten Sehnsuchtsort. In dir breitet sich eine Leichtigkeit und Fröhlichkeit aus, die dich durch den ganzen Tag zu tragen scheint. Für mich ist dieser Ort zum Beispiel die Provence. Und wie man das in Weingegenden so macht, geht man natürlich auf Weingüter um dort die lokal produzierten Weine zu degustieren. Einer schmeckt besser als der andere! Ich entscheide mich für einen Rosé, den wir auch gleich am Abend mit ein paar Macarons bei Sonnenuntergang am Pool öffnen. Herrlich! Dieses Gefühl will ich mir mit nach Hause nehmen und packe mir vor der Heimfahrt ein paar Flaschen ins Auto. Doch zu Hause schmeckt dieser Rosé, der für mich für eine Woche lang der beste Rosé meines Lebens war, irgendwie nur noch wie ein normaler Rosé. Ist das nicht komisch? Nein, ist es nicht, denn natürlich fehlen ganz viele Eindrücke, Emotionen, Gefühle, die eben nicht in eine Flasche passen. Die Atmosphäre fehlt.
Aber weshalb erzähle ich dir überhaupt diese Geschichte. Nun, weil ich finde, dass die Atmosphäre, die Aura eines Bildes, nur dann erfahren kann, wenn man wirklich davor steht. Nur in dem direkten Kontakt mit dem Bild kann man das Bild auch wirklich spüren und erleben. Auf meiner Website findest du ganz viele Fotos. Ich kann dir zwar eine Flasche Rosé aus Südfrankreich mitbringen, und die wird dir bestimmt super schmecken, aber das Gefühl kann ich dir leider nicht einpacken. Ich habe schon so oft erlebt, wie Menschen reagieren, die meine Kunst zum ersten Mal in Echt vor sich sehen. Ich liebe diesen Moment, ein kurzer Augenblick der Sprachlosigkeit, um sich orientieren zu können und das Bild begreifen zu können. Und dann das angestrengte überlegen, danach meistens die Frage, wie meine Technik funktioniert. Dieses Gefühl kann ich hier leider nicht übermitteln, das musst du einfach selbst erleben.
In den letzten Jahren habe ich meinen eigenen künstlerischen Ansatz entwickelt. Ich verwende dazu eine Technik, den man am ehesten mit "Collage-Technik" beschreiben kann, auch wenn ich es selbst nicht als Collage sehe. Ich bringe verschiedene Schichten von Papier und Acrylfarbe übereinander an und erstelle somit die Silhouetten von abstrakten Pferden und Landschaften.
Das verwendete Papier ist handgeschöpftes Naturpapier, welches in der Himalaya Region hergestellt wird. Dieses Papier beschreibe ich in diesem (link) Blogbeitrag genauer. Es ist mein absolutes Lieblingspapier weil es so sanft, geschmeidig und strukturiert ist, dass es sich anfühlt wie der Stoff eines Lieblingskleides. Es verbreitet eine unheimlich starke und einzigartige Aura, dass man sich darin verlieren kann.
Auf einer Leinwand entfaltet das Papier im Zusammenspiel mit den Schichten, die mal mehr, mal weniger transparent sind, den kleinen Unreinheiten im Papier und der Silhouette der Pferde ein einzigartiges Kunstwerk. Einen Teil davon kann ich dir in meinem Portfolio (link) zeigen, doch den Geist, die Aura - die musst du selbst erleben.
